Your privacy and permission is very important to me.  This privacy policy explains how I may collect and process your personal data through your use of my website.

What data do I collect?

Personal data means any information capable of identifying an individual. It does not include anonymised data.

I may process certain types of personal data about you as follows:

Communication Data: This includes any communication that you send to me whether that be through the contact form on my website, through email, text, telephone or any other communication. 

Personal data: This may include various types of personal information including name, address, contact details, student’s name, age and school attending. I may collect specific information about your particular areas of need, such as any special educational needs a student may have and any assessments that I conduct.

How I process your data

I process this data for the purposes of communicating with you, for record keeping and for the establishment, pursuance or defence of legal claims. The lawful ground for this processing is my legitimate interests which in this case are to reply to communications sent to me, to keep records and to establish, pursue or defend legal claims. 

Retention and sharing of your data 

Your data will only be used by myself for the purposes of contacting you and providing tuition and assessments. If there is a need to share any data with a third party - such as a school or with the DfE (Department for Education), your permission will be obtained beforehand. Your information is deleted from my system once it is clear that you no longer require my services. However, hard copies of assessment documents will be retained for three years.

Third-party links

My website includes links to third-party websites (such as Squarespace), plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections might allow third parties to collect or share data about you. I do not control these third-party websites and am not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave my website, I encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

Your rights

If you are not happy with any aspect of how I collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). I would be grateful if you would contact me in the first instance if you do have a complaint so I can try to resolve it for you. 

You are also entitled to request the erasure of your data if you wish to stop using my services, unless I need to retain a copy for legal reasons.
